The second group of priests attending the Pastoral Software course this year. Here are some of the comments given at the end of the course: *The course helped me to improve my knowledge of computer science; *It enabled me to learn to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Acces, PowerPoints and the Pastoral Software course itself; * Now I know how to access the internet; *I have improved my typing skills; *I felt that I had been far from what is going on in the world, now I can write an email and send it, I can open a website, I can keep my registers properly [Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage and Parishioner registers]; *I have been farnished with some programmes which will help me to continue improving my computer knoledge; *As part of the pioneer group on this programme in my diocese I have made a big leap, *Some of the fears I had about the internet were dissipated.

Course Content

Basic computer knowledge, Word processing, Use of the Internet, Emails, Introduction to Parish Software, Computerizing of parish registers, (entering and retrieving data of Baptismal, Confirmation, Marriage, registers, etc.), Generation of Baptismal Cards and Marriage Certificates, Backup of Parish information on computer, entering book keeping information on computer and easy extracting financial statements wherever needed, evaluation, picnic.
