PROGRAMS
A wide range of ongoing formation courses are offered at St. Augustine's Institute aimed both at personal renewal of pastoral agents and equipping them with pertinent pastoral skills to be abreast with the fast-changing world, so that they remain relevant in their pastoral ministry. The planned institute activities for 2023 include the following: 1) Basic program for priestly ongoing formation, 2) Retreats, 3) Programs for lay pastoral agents, 4) Outreach programs 5) Programs for priestly candidates on Propaedeutic Year and on Pastoral/Spiritual year 6) Meeting of stakeholders in priestly formation and ongoing formation
Meetings of the Uganda Episcopal Conference
the Uganda Episcopal Conference (Catholic Bishops) meet three times a year at the institute. This year, their meetings will take place on 6th - 11th March 2023, 2nd to 10th June 2023, and 6th - 10th November 2023.

Priests' Ongoing Formation
Priests are invited to attend capacity building and refresher courses at appropriate intervals in their ministry, namely: 5, 15, 25, 40 and 50 anniversaries in priestly ministry. This ensures that at regular intervals, each priest is given a chance for rest, updating and personal renewal.

Courses for Lay Pastoral Agents
Following up on the workshop given in 2022 to catechists’ leaders and leaders of women in the Church, two from each of the 19 dioceses, the institute has planned two similar workshops for 2023, from 22nd to 28th January 2023 and from 3rd to 9th December 2023.

DAILY HOMILY

Outreach Programs
The staff of St. Augustine’s Institute is involved in giving outreach programs in the different dioceses, religious institutes and other lay organizations.

Retreats and Recollections
Three kinds of retreats are offered in the institute's annual program;30 Day Ignatian retreats, 8 Day directed Ignatian retreats, 8 Day preached retreats
Outdoor functions
The gardens can be hired for wedding receptions, graduation parties and, outdoor meetings. Customers may arrange to have foods and beverages served to them by the institute, including barbecues and cocktails.
