19th - 29th June, 2017
Usually Christian communities celebrate with their priests the occasion of 25 years of priestly ministry. However, this is usually done for individual priests in their respective dioceses, parishes and institutions. At St. Augustine's Institute priests are offered a chance to meet as classmates of the 19 dioceses of the country, celebrating their silver jubilee. This gives them a chance in enriching ways that would otherwise not be possible among their Christians:

The topics for group sharing include: How you chose to be a priest, the joys you have found in your ministry, the challenges, how to assist fellow priests who are even more challenged, areas of common interest such as prayer, relationships, transfers, self-sustenance, dependants, aging and sickness, etc. Besides group sharing priests also receive inputs from specially chosen guests on topics relevant to their ministry.
Time is also spent in relaxing, reminisching and enjoying each other's company, letting the inner child out for a change. The gathering is usually concluded with a picnic after an evaluation and planning for future meetings.
